NEXTpittsburgh is looking for a sales/events account executive.
Skills: Candidate must be a highly motivated, organized person with excellent communication and negotiation skills and an impressive track record in sales and/or event management. Must possess the willingness to get out and meet people daily and be passionate about the city and the issues we write about. Innovation and creativity count; this position is for someone who can connect advertisers and sponsors in various creative ways to best reach our highly influential, engaged audience — 185,000 unique readers monthly who care about what’s going on in Pittsburgh and how to best navigate our city.
The sales and events exec will be responsible for servicing some established accounts — dealing with some very cool people in town — and acquiring new business pegged to monthly sales quotas.
You can work remotely, reporting to the publisher and participating in editorial meetings with the creative team.
You will be responsible for generating revenue in any or all of our seven revenue streams, from events to online publications for clients.
