BOOM Concepts brings community-focused shared space to Garfield

BOOM Concepts, part art gallery, part community workshop, is a joint venture of art collective Magic Organs and Jenesis Magazine. Don't miss the grand opening on July 3-4 with a cookout and a chance to learn about the many ways they plan to engage the youth community.

Placemaking workshop scheduled in advance of Walk/Bike/Place Conference

The workshop will provide an overview of the principles of Placemaking, examples of best practices, and tools for evaluating public spaces, including a participatory on-site audit exercise for a public space near the workshop site. The workshop will conclude with a facilitated discussion about how to create more and better places in Pittsburgh.
