Pittsburgh’s been practicing social distancing for a few weeks now and chances are you need a beer.

Around here, breweries aren’t just places to mindlessly chug, they’re community hubs where neighbors go to talk, listen to music, play trivia, socialize their dogs and get an education.

Even if you can’t belly up to the bar and drink a pint, you can still support your local taproom by grabbing some beer (and perhaps a gift certificate!) to go. When you’re home safe, raise a glass to the men and women who made that tasty beverage.

Here are local breweries offering curbside service:

Acclamation Brewing, 555 b Wildwood Ave., Verona
The new brewery opens Thursday, July 2 from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday noon to 8 p.m. For their inaugural weekend, they’re offering $2 off a 64-ounce growler fill and $1 off a 32-ounce growler fill. Bring your own clean receptacle or buy one of Acclamation’s. https://www.acclamationbrewing.com/

Brew Gentlemen, 512 Braddock Ave., Braddock

Brew Gentlemen offers beer in 32-ounce crowler cans and General Braddock’s American IPA in slim can four-packs for pickup. Purchases can be made by filling out an online form. Cash is not accepted during pickup hours, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and Saturday noon to 5 p.m.. When you pull up to the brewery, just send the gents a text at 412-212-3657 with your last name and vehicle descriptions and they’ll deliver the brews to your trunk.

East End Brewing Company, 147 Julius St., Larimer

East End is selling to-go bottles and cans from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Credit card transactions will take place in the brewpub’s entryway. The entire East End catalog of packaged beer and Barmy Soda is available for purchase. You can check out the list online. The brewery also offers Saturday beer delivery from noon to 5 p.m.

Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial St., Troy Hill
The North Side restaurant and brewery is closed until further notice, but you can continue to purchase Penn Brewery kegs and cases there by calling 412-237-9400 in advance. Additionally, as of now, the brewery’s Pittsburgh Airport location remains open for business.

Church Brew Works, 3525 Liberty Ave., Lawrenceville
Church Brew Works is open for dine-in food and curbside beer sales. Grab a growler, a six-pack of cans or a minikeg.  Check out the menu online. Call 412-288-8200 or 412-304-3804 to place your order.

Grist House Craft Brewery, 10 E. Sherman St., Millvale and 301 Sgt. Messerschmidt Rd., Collier

Grist House offers pick-up sales at its Millvale and Collier locations daily from noon to 8 p.m. Growler fills purchased online can only be picked up in Millvale. Send and email or call or text 412-212-3179, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to order beer for delivery. The minimum order is two four-packs and there is a $10 delivery fee. They deliver within a five-mile radius of the Millvale location.

Cinderlands Warehouse, 2601 Smallman St., Strip District

You can get great food and beer at Cinderlands Warehouse in the Strip District. Check out the menus, order online  and choose pickup or delivery. If you decide to take a drive, park outside of the Warehouse and call the facility at 412-209-1575. Pickup is available from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. For delivery, there is a $25 minimum and a $2 delivery fee. The service is available from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. If beer’s in your order, have that ID handy.

The Leaning Cask Brewing Company, 850 Pittsburgh St., Springdale

Order some of your favorite beers online and the folks at The Leaning Cask will bring it to your car from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Allegheny City Brewing, 507 Foreland St., North Side

Grab your cans and fresh growlers at Allegheny City Brewing Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Gift certificates aren’t available online yet, but you can message the brewery and the staff can send you an electronic certificate.

Abjuration Brewing Co., 644 Broadway Ave., McKees Rocks

Place your order online and pick it up Saturday 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. While you’re there, grab some merch — including glasses, stickers and beanies.

Strange Roots Experimental Ales, 501 E. Ohio St., Millvale and 4399 Gibsonia Rd., Gibsonia

The brewer recently launched an online bottleshop for Pennsylvania residents. You can also pick up your purchase one hour after ordering in Millvale (915-209-5105) Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and in Gibsonia (412-453-6255) Wednesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. Call the respective taproom phone number when you are in the parking lot. The bar manager will ask for your name, order number and the make and color of your vehicle. For growler fills, call for availability and place your order at least 30 minutes before you want to pick it up.

Southern Tier Brewing Co., 316 N. Shore Drive, North Shore

The North Shore brewery is offering a special curbside carryout menu for food and beer. Hours are Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call the taproom at 412-301-2337 to place your order, pull up out front and give them another ring to have your goodies brought out.

Inner Groove Brewing, 751 E. Railroad St., Verona

Inner Groove is now selling 32-ounce crowler cans (16-ounce varieties are in the works) with curbside delivery. Online ordering hours are Wednesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can order by phone at 412-828-1351 Wed-Friday 5 to 8 p.m and Saturday-Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. and pay with a credit or debit card, and they will deliver your crowlers to your car when you pull up. Curbside orders will also be taken and food trucks will be on-site.

Roundabout Brewery, 4901 Butler St., Lawrenceville

Roundabout is offering pickup and curbside service from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Their four-pack, 16-ounce can selection is posted on the website and orders also can be placed by calling 412-345-1933. The brewery is selling Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches, too!

Eleventh Hour Brewing Co., 3711 Charlotte St., Lawrenceville

Eleventh Hour’s to-go taproom hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Canned beers and 32-ounce crowlers of current offers will be available via credit card payment only. If you would like the beer brought to your door, call 412-676-8034 upon arrival. A different food truck will be stationed outside the brewery each day. Beer delivery is free to anyone within a five-mile radius of the taproom, with a minimum purchase of $20. If you live outside of that area, the minimum is $80. Cases, mixed four-packs, mixed six-packs, crowlers, growlers, sixtels and half-barrels will be available in the coming days and that information will be posted online.

Spoonwood Brewing Company, 5981 Baptist Road, Bethel Park

Spoonwood’s full food menu is available for takeout by calling 412-833-0333 from 3 to 8 p.m. While you’re there, stock up on cans and growlers of beer.

Mindful Brewing Company, 3759 Library Rd., Castle Shannon

Mindful Brewing Company is open for carryout each day from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. is a special shopping hour for beer and wine to go for at-risk shoppers, including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns. All food orders must be called in at 412-668-3857. Small numbers of customers can peruse the bottleshop selection to make mix-and-match, six-packs and crowlers are also available.

Helltown Brewing, 5578 Old William Penn Hwy., Export

Helltown beers are available by the six-pack and case for delivery through PA Libations website. The export taproom is also open for pickup sales. Check the website for times. On April 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the brewery will hold a pop-up event at American Natural, 201 Scharberry Ln., Mars.

Acrospire Brewing Co., 1650 Butler Plank Rd., Glenshaw

One of Pittsburgh’s newest breweries will be filling growlers Saturdays from 2 to 8 p.m.

Dancing Gnome Beer, 925 Main St., Sharpsburg 

Dancing Gnome’s online store displays four-packs available for pick-up at the brewery. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Burgh’ers Brewing, 3601 Butler St., Lawrenceville

Grab a gourmet burger and a growler of beer to go Wednesday-Friday 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday noon to 8 p.m.

Aurochs Brewing Company, 8321 Ohio River Blvd., Emsworth
Need some gluten-free beer? Aurochs offers to-go cans, growlers and crowlers Thursday-Friday 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday noon to 8 p.m.

Hitchhiker Brewing, 190 Castle Shannon Blvd., Mt. Lebanon and 1500 Canal St., Sharpsburg

Hitchhiker Brewing has cans, growlers (new fills only, price includes new glass), sixtels and merchandise for sale online for pick up. Pick up is held Thursday and Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4 p.m.

Hop Farm Brewing, 5601 Butler St., Lawrenceville

Hop Farm’s online portal is open for business. Pick-up cans, growlers and kegs between 3 and 8 p.m. For delivery, visit the portal to see what’s available and then send an email with your name, phone number, address and order. Review the delivery schedule on the website and choose your preferred delivery date. Hop Farm will contact you with payment instructions and delivery confirmation. Delivery is free for orders over $50, $3 within two miles and $5 otherwise.

Red Star Kombucha, 6620 Hamilton Ave., Larimer

If fermented tea is more your style, Red Star Kombucha’s got you covered. Order online for delivery Wednesday and Thursday or pickup your brew Friday and Saturday at the taproom.
