Starting today, Gaucho 3.0 will serve takeout Wednesday-Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. It will open for dine-in service in mid-July. Customers can order online.

The popular restaurant, known for its sandwiches and wood-fired meat, opened seven years ago at 1601 Penn Ave., on the edge of the Strip District, and later expanded to a neighboring storefront. The location closed March 19, more than a month earlier than planned due to COVID-19.

Gaucho’s new digs, site of the former Six Penn Kitchen, boasts a bigger kitchen and houses two bars and a spot for to-go orders called Baby Gaucho. In addition to mouthwatering food, it will serve a selection of beers and South American wines.

Asado, the company’s food truck, reopened on June 16 and parked on Sixth Street to handle takeout orders. It will hit the road again soon.
