Bakery Square

Bakery Living Front Lawn
September 22
Noon to 6 p.m.

There are countless ways to soak up summer in the city—from parks and playgrounds, to pubs and street fairs. One destination to add to your itinerary is Bakery Square which has kicked off its free Summer Event Series.

Running through September with themed events on Fridays and Saturdays, the all-ages series invites residents, co-workers and everyone else to enjoy live music, craft beer, outdoor lawn games, Pittsburgh’s favorite food trucks and more.

This Saturday’s installment features the irresistible combination of pizza and crafts.

Savor slices from eight local purveyors—from Pizza Boat to Pizza Taglio—and cool off with treats such as Stickler’s Ice Pops and Piccadilly artisan yogurts. Wash it all down with libations from Full Pint, Strongbow Cider and many others.

Rock out to live music by The Maverick Hodads and Vertigogo and shop for locally-made wares in the I Made It! Market.

Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash. A Healthy Ride station is located on-site, and free parking is available at Bakery Square.

Mark your calendar now for the Urban Beach Party (July 21) and Summer Send-Off (September 22).
