10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Let Bespoke be your one-stop shop for unique handcrafted gifts for moms and dads, soon-to-be grads and summer brides.
Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Strip District-based Society for Contemporary Craft, the thoughtfully curated pop-up shop will feature a variety of inspired goods produced by talented local makers, artisans and designers.
Shop for repurposed wood furniture, home goods and decorative objects created by Bones and All, and find that superbly stylish and incredibly practical tote, backpack or messenger bag constructed by Moop. Peruse Reiko Yamamoto Studio’s stunning line of contemporary ceramic tableware and select pieces of delicate jewelry designed by The Tiny Torch. Swing by the Studebaker Metals display to discover hand-forged functional and decorative products such as key hooks, tie clips, necklaces and more.
Meet all of the makers and hear from them firsthand about their materials, techniques and businesses. Several artists will take custom orders during the event, which is free and open to the public.
While there, be sure to pop into the galleries to see SCC’s current BRIDGE 13 exhibition. Featuring striking mixed media work by Keith Lo Bue, Elisabeth Higgins O’Connor and Jason Walker, BRIDGE 13 explores the complexities of urban experience via found materials, fiber arts, ceramics and figurative imagery.
Want to be a maker? Pop into SCC’s Drop-In Studio to participate in a hands-on art project designed by featured artist Keith Lo Bue, a classically trained jeweler who works with found materials. Make your own work of art by smashing a metal can, collaging images from magazines and then embellishing the piece using wire, leather and additional materials.
