This summer, the best way to explore the authentic neighborhoods and dramatic topography of Pittsburgh this summer is definitely on two wheels during BikeFest.

BikeFest Family Ride.

Featuring 10 days of adventure on two wheels, BikeFest is uniquely crowdsourced with an impressive array of 100 some events, offering something for everyone.

Don’t miss the always jubilant BikeFest kick-off on Friday, August 21st at new Lawrenceville venue Spirit featuring a dance party, live music by Wreck Loose, Lone Wolf and Grand Piano, a silent auction and VIP party and pizza by Slice Island. Purchase tickets here.

Festival highlights include an ambitious all-day 90 Neighborhood Ride, a bike parts swap meet, rides to local community pools and GTECH’s Two Wheels, Lots of Green tour of Northside greenspaces.

BikeFest culminates on Sunday, August 30th with Pedal Pittsburgh, the region’s largest bike ride. Pedal Pittsburgh’s three featured routes include a Family Ride (2 to 16 miles) that meanders along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail System with several stops along the way for snacks and drinks, the popular 25-mile Highmark City Tour which starts with a breathtaking ride across the Smithfield Street Bridge and includes local landmarks such as the Cathedral of Learning, and the challenging 62-mile PJ Dick and Lindy Paving Metric Century ride that includes steep climbs, spectacular views and some of the city’s newest bike infrastructure.
