Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse & Garden
April 20
6 – 10 p.m.

Calling all fans of single barrel bourbon and four-legged friends to the North Side.

The whiskey gurus at Wigle have dreamt up the perfect combination of warm weather fun to mark the highly anticipated season opening of its Barrelhouse and Whiskey Garden — ushering in months of outdoor fun with a Pooch Parade and a special release of its Barrelhouse Edition Single Barrel Straight Bourbon.

A three-year whiskey aged in a new 53-gallon charred, oak barrel, the release is distilled from the heads and tails of a previous batch of smoked bourbon. Bottled at 100 proof with a label designed by David Pini, the Pennsylvania bourbon has flavors of cherry, brown sugar and light smoke.

Inspired by the whiskey-toting dogs that led voyagers through the Alpine Pass, Wigle will debut a new twist on its popular Barrel Roll. The Pooch Parade will make its way from Threadbare to the Barrelhouse opening party, where attendees can sample whiskey straight from the cask and grab dinner from the Gaucho Asado food truck.

The free festivities will also feature a Humane Animal Rescue photo booth and live music by the Goodfoots.
