Jazz is not just for nightclubs. The summer blooms and hot jazz will flow Thursday night at one of summer’s top outdoor concerts.

Unwind amidst Phipps’ serene outdoor garden while enjoying a distinctive evening under the stars.

This year’s edition features renowned Pittsburgh father-and-son jazz duo Benny Benack, Jr. and Benny Benack III, performing classics from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Harry Connick, Jr. and Michael Bublé.

Continuing a family legacy that’s been part of Pittsburgh’s jazz scene for 50 years, The Benacks will be joined by an all-star lineup, including saxophonists Eric DeFade and Rick Matt, trombonists Reggie Watkins and Isaac Viars, trumpeters Lou Pisani, Joe Badaczewski and J.D. Chaisson, keyboardist Max Leake, bassist Alexander Claffy and drummer Joe Peri.

Attendees can also stroll amidst the site’s plant collections, herb and medicinal gardens, ferns and dwarf conifers, and buy drinks in the cash bar.
