What began in 2016 as a conversation between comedians John Dick Winters and Jesse Irvin while on tour has evolved into an annual festival featuring leading local and national performers.

Back with its largest iteration yet, the “DIY style comedy bonanza” boasts 15 shows spotlighting 70-plus comedians over five days. From a punk rock news show to a hotdog eating contest to a comedian performing in his underwear, this is a lineup not to miss.

The five national headliners — Dave Ross, Shane Torres, Emma Arnold, Liza Treyger and Joe Derosa — are making stops in Pittsburgh by way of L.A., NYC and Boise. You’ve likely caught them on top networks and shows like Comedy Central, “Drunk History” and “WTF with Marc Maron,” and now you can experience their craft within imitate local venues.

Setting up shop throughout Pittsburgh, Burning Bridges also highlights the city’s thriving comedy scene and authentic neighborhoods — with shows at hotspots like Arcade Comedy Theater, Club Café and Hambone’s.
