February 7
Noon – 5 p.m.

We can’t resist the winning combo of locally brewed beer and locally made crafts, and nor should you. This Valentine’s Day, forget boxed chocolates and instead opt for Burgh-made Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout.

If you have yet to check out East End Brewing Company‘s new brewpub, the inaugural Crafts & Drafts Artist Market is the perfect time. In honor of Valentine’s Day, the free event is celebrating the release of East End’s new Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout and showcasing a sampling of the latest handmade goods produced by local artists.

Attendees will receive a free sample of the special Valentine’s beer and browse an electric marketplace that provides a refreshing alternative to the standard saccharine wares of the season—with everything from fused glass and home decor to locally sourced floral arrangements. Featured artists include The Artistics Fused, Commonwealth Press, Designs by Samantha, everyday balloons, garbella, Gold Dust Floral, RedRaven Studios, strawberryluna, Worker Bird and Alternate Histories.

Sweetening the deal? Commonplace Coffee and Spak Brothers will be on site selling coffee, espresso and tasty pub fare, including vegetarian and vegan options. Providing the afternoon’s soul-tinged soundtrack of love songs will be DJ MB.

Since acquiring a brewpub license in 2014, East End Brewing Co. owner Scott Smith has been hosting a diverse array of programs, such as yoga, square dancing and food truck events (read more about that here).
