Remember those thin red envelopes we all looked forward to when a new Netflix DVD was coming in the mail? Since its founding in 1997, the entertainment company has transformed the way we watch movies — starting with those DVD rentals by mail and expanding to revolutionize streaming media, gain 117 million paying subscribers worldwide and launch its own production wing.

On Monday night, Pittsburghers can get an inside look at the company’s meteoric rise during this special talk by Netflix’s Vice President of Product.

Free to the public, the conversation with Todd Yellin is co-presented by Pitt’s Film and Media Studies Program and Humanities Center, along with Steeltown Entertainment Project.

Discover how the Netflix team is leveraging Internet TV to revolutionize video storytelling, discuss the future of television and the movie industry and much more.

This is your opportunity to ask those burning questions about everything from interactive content and messaging, to interface design and membership.

Registration is required.
