Gear Fest

Ace Hotel Pittsburgh
April 23
Noon—5 p.m.

The outdoor adventure season is here, but are you ready? Those old bike racks and camping tents gathering dust and rust in the garage?

No worries, because Sunday’s first-ever Gear Fest is your one-stop shop for all of those spring and summer outdoor recreation needs.

Shop for gently used gear from outfitters, clubs and vendors specializing in equipment and clothing, including Wilderness Voyagers, Burton and SurfSup Adventures. Also featured will be artisan companies using locally sourced, natural products and services—such as Apothecary Muse, Fiks Reflective and Pack Up + Go.

Pick up resources from nonprofits like BikePGH, Venture Outdoors and Three Rivers Waterkeeper, celebrate Earth Day and find out why Pittsburgh has become a top outdoor recreation destination.

Wash it all down with refreshing craft beer from Hop Farm, Spoonwood and Grist House and enjoy live music by Brett Staggs, Bison Band and Daylight Moon.

Shop for a cause, because one percent of the proceeds will benefit the youth programs of local nonprofit, First Waves. Whether you’re a kayaker or a climber—start planning your next outdoor adventure now.

Hosted by 3 Rivers Outdoor Company, the free event is dog-friendly and open to all ages.
