It’s always captivating to watch Attack Theatre perform their signature brand of site-specific dance in distinct venues around the city. This Friday night, go from spectator to participant as you hit the dance floor along with the talented Attack crew and actually be part of the excitement.

Why shake it on a regular old dance floor when you can party inside a mesmerizing multi-sensory light installation? For its second annual Down & Dirty Dance Party, the homegrown company is taking the show on the road to Lawrenceville.

Dubbed “The Vault,” the latest large-scale built environment created by Pittsburgh artist Ian Brill will provide the perfect setting for a night of kinetic revelery.

A benefit bash supporting the company’s cutting-edge work, the event will feature a cash bar, and all-night, dance-worthy tunes spun by DJs Pandemic Pete, Gordy G, GBT and Purr Ubu. Expect everything from cumbia, dancehall and Northern Soul, to Gay Power Music, Italo-disco and post-punk.

Attendees will be treated to exclusive pop-up dance performances throughout the night showcasing the company’s productions from current and upcoming seasons.

You can’t beat the event’s “pay what moves you” admission policy.
