Along with The ScareHouse, Kennywood’s Phantom Fright Nights, Bloomfield’s storied Evaline party — and countless scenic pumpkin patches — Pittsburgh has no shortage of spooky and spectacular Halloween traditions.

One destination that’s fast become a haunted hipster hangout is Spirit. Upping the ante, the Lawrenceville hotspot will host 15 nights of wicked Halloween programming all centered in and around a massive immersive installation created by Pittsburgh-based artist Ian Brill.

Perfectly timed, Spirit will unveil Brill’s “Psychedelic Creep Show Vault” — along with the “Burial Lodge” constructed by greenSinner — on Friday the 13th.

Opening night will feature a LazerCrunk party with Dubstep pioneer Loefah, along with local DJs. Step into the “Vault” to be transported to new visual dimensions and have your senses bathed in color, shape and light.

Not to miss on October 28 is a full-tilt Halloween bash with legendary New York Night Train DJ Jonathan Toubin, along with performances by Chantillion, Giggly Boys, ELQ, The Undercover Dream Lovers and moon baby. The spooktacular will feature projections by Spencer Bewley, NYNT Mummy Dancers, costume contests and free pizza.

Additional events include the Strangeways Dance Party, live music showcases and a finale featuring Diane Coffee.
