If you’re looking for a rewarding way to share Women’s History Month with the teens or tweens in your life — and catch an exclusive movie premiere â€” then get tickets for this special evening.

Hosted by New Voices Pittsburgh, the event is part of the organization’s 11th annual Women of Color HERStory Month celebration.

Be the first in Pittsburgh to see “A Wrinkle in Time,” which is set for release via Disney March 9. Centered around a girl of color who’s on a mission to save the universe, the groundbreaking sci-fi adventure is directed by Ava DuVernay (“Selma”) and features a screenplay by Jennifer Lee (“Frozen”). It’s the first film directed by a Black woman to have a $100 million budget.

Based on the iconic 1962 novel by Madeleine L’Engle, the film stars Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Follow Alex and her fellow astral travelers as they set off on an epic quest to find her astrophysicist father who is a prisoner on a distant planet.
