Light Up Night

Downtown Pittsburgh
November 17
4:30 – 10 p.m.

The youngest of Santa’s helpers will find lots of free and fun ways to kick off the holiday season during Friday’s highly anticipated Comcast Light Up Night. Bigger and brighter than ever, the 57th installment boasts iconic family traditions along with brand new activities.

Seven tree lighting ceremonies will sparkle across Downtown — concluding at 7 p.m. with the Highmark Unity Tree Lighting and rooftop fireworks.

Take the kiddos to One Oxford Centre to visit Santa and his live reindeer, unwind during horse-drawn carriage rides and enjoy entertainment on and off the ice at PPG Place. Watch ice carvers at work at Fifth Avenue Place, shop for gifts at The Peoples Gas Holiday Market and participate in hands-on art activities.

Try a winter sports virtual reality experience at the XFINITY display, and pose in front a winter wonderland backdrop to make your own electronic family holiday card. Groove to live music by Andy Grammer, Maggie Lindemann, Joe Grushecky, the Django Festival All-Stars and more.

The event’s new footprint will transform Ft. Duquesne Blvd. into a festive riverfront destination featuring a scenic pedestrian promenade, food vendors and interactive attractions. At 9:38 p.m., don’t miss the BNY Mellon Fireworks Finale.
