National Aviary
April 14, 15, 16
11 a.m.—3 p.m.

As we shake off winter hibernation, awake to sunny birdsongs and get to work tending our gardens, there’s no better place to welcome spring than at the National Aviary.

During April’s Eggstravaganza, families have five fun chances to honor and explore our feathered friends.

Head to the North Side destination to participate in the Burgh’s most egg-cellent spring celebration with avian festivities for all ages.

Collect eco-eggs in your very own basket during “eggstra-ordinary” egg hunts, watch fascinating slide shows of hatching chicks, and make a paper mache egg painting.

Enjoy “Wee Little Chick” storytime programs, join all of the fun during a festive Easter Parade, and get to know the Aviary’s super cute and fluffy new owl chicks who were hatched on March 16 and 22.

The event’s MVP guest, the Easter Bunny, will visit with kids on April 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. and on April 9, 14 and 15 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Eggstravaganza events are included with regular Aviary admission.
