KidsPlay

Market Square
Tuesdays & Saturdays through August
Various times

Looking for a great summer staycation for the kids? Back with double the programming, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s free KidsPlay series is your all-ages urban adventure destination.

Expanding with more activities and dates in Market Square, KidsPlay runs Tuesdays through August 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Saturdays through August 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From planting their own trees and dancing with professional ballerinas, to touching a fire truck and seeing how cartoons are created, KidsPlay has something for every young urban explorer.

Presented in partnership with Carnegie Library, KidsPlays will also feature hands-on activities led by Animal Friends, Three Rivers Storytelling Festival, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Toonseum, the Riverhounds, and more.

On Tuesdays, children will receive a free meal from the Grub Up Food Truck. Geared toward pre-school aged children, KidsPlay welcomes families, caregivers, schools, daycares and camps.

Looking for more fun in Market Square? Play ping-pong and giant Jenga, relax in a zigzag chair designed by FANTÁSTICA, and unwind with a good book or magazine in the Reading Room.

Need assistance? Look for the “I” Information booth to talk to a Market Square program ambassador.
