Through September 2
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Where can you go on adventures with the dynamic duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful friend Knuffle Bunny and clever city bird dubbed The Pigeon?

Step into the imaginative worlds of award-winning writer and animator Mo Willems.

Filled with opportunities for play, learning and discovery, the new show brings to life Willems’ Caldecott-winning children’s book, “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” What will happen when a bus driver leaves his post and an ornery pigeon tries to take the wheel?

Inside the exhibit, kids can talk like storybook characters at a double-sided phone booth, turn on an old-time animation machine to make Piggie dance and even launch foam hot dogs at The Pigeon. Next, spin a washing machine to uncover Snuffle Bunny, try on and drive a wearable bus and dress up a Naked Mole Rat for a fanciful fashion show.

The opening weekend festivities kick off with a special ribbon pull on February 17 at 10 a.m., followed by loads of fun throughout the museum. Enjoy storytimes, create collages and terrible monsters, play plinko games and more.

The first-ever hands-on, interactive Mo Willems exhibition is on view through September 2.
