Spend Earth Day surrounded by nature — and helping to protect and preserve one of our city’s greatest green spaces.

Putting a local spin on international Earth Day, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is hosting two days packed with free eco-fun for families and kids.

Kick off your outdoor explorations at Friday night’s Community Campfire under the stars at Falls Ravine Shelter. Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will supply the fire and sticks, and you can bring the hot dogs and s’more fixings.

On Saturday, join naturalists for a variety of hikes, walks and activities throughout breathtaking Frick Park. Participate in hands-on plant, animal and insect activities led by environmental groups, and explore the pop-up Imagination Playground.

Swing by the exhibits and activity stations, get moving during Silent Disco Yoga workshops and attend a screening of the film, Finding Our Power.

The free weekend will also feature volunteer opportunities, storytelling programs and meditation sessions.
