May 12
6 – 9 p.m.

What’s the one night when teens are encouraged to “play with fire” and fuel their inner artist in 2,200-degree creative cauldrons?

Pittsburgh Glass Center is calling all teens to its cool Garfield HQ for a hot night of making and mingling.

At “Play by the Fire,” teens can participate in a wide variety of activities led by Assemble, Carnegie Museum of Art, The Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Science Center and Union Project.

Design an LED flame patch and colorful buttons for your favorite jacket, experience rapid digital fabrication and screen print a handy tote bag. Experiment with stop-motion animation, make glass magnets and pendants, sculpt a clay bird and more.

Designed especially for teens age 13 to 18, the event will also feature furnace-fired pizza and s’mores, music and a photo booth.

Admission is only $5, and teens can pay at the door or register online.
