While counting the days until the Winter Olympics kick off in Pyeongchang, you can practice your moves on the slopes at one of the county’s top recreational amenities.
An entire weekend packed with winter fun, SnowFest features indoor and outdoor activities — and most are free with the price of a lift ticket. So whether you’ve got a budding Lara Gut in your family — or the kids are ready for their first glide down the bunny trail — this is a great chance to take advantage of all-day lift tickets for one low price.
Feeling competitive? Show off your ingenuity and speed in the Cardboard Box Snow Tubing Derby. Construct a sled out of cardboard and duct tape and race down the snow tubing hill. Sunday’s Mini-Junior Olympics are perfect for children ages 5 to 12.
SnowFest will also feature live DJs, Mascot Snow Tubing Races and snowshoeing lessons led by park rangers.
More of an indoor creature? Head to the cozy Four Seasons Lodge to make balloon art and have your face painted. Enjoy Pittsburgh Puppet Works shows, see strolling magicians and make memories to take home in the SnowFest photo booth.
