There’s a cool project for every little artist, builder, designer, writer and dreamer at the 59th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival.

Grab the entire family and kick off summer in the Burgh with 10 days of free art, music, theater, dance and more. A dynamic must-do destination for the kiddos, TRAF’s Giant Eagle Creativity Zone hosts hands-on activities led by Pittsburgh’s top arts and cultural organizations.

Create cyanotype prints inspired by nature with Rivers of Steel and learn about the ecosystems of Pittsburgh’s rivers. Join Union Project to sculpt a seed bomb to take home and plant and watch it grow wildflowers that attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

Pop into Pittsburgh Glass Center’s traveling glass studio, Hot Wheels, to watch exciting demonstrations, and contribute to a giant LEGO mosaic with Carnegie Science Center.

Build 3D pop-up cards with the Mattress Factory, make art using reclaimed materials with Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, and explore 18th-century life with Fort Pitt Museum.

But wait, there’s more! Make buttons featuring your favorite storybook characters and use rubber stamps, watercolors and stencils to create Andy Warhol-inspired postcards.
