Downtown, Strip District and Lawrenceville
Sunday, May 29
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The wildly popular Open Streets PGH is back for a second season and the first event is this Sunday, May 29th. Walk, run, bike and skate your way through city streets of Lawrenceville, the Strip District and Downtown to celebrate this family-friendly event for people of all ages.

The handy route map will allow you to plan your time from 9 am through 1 pm. Take a yoga class in Market Square, join a salsa class in the street or just watch the fun from a sidewalk restaurant or café. Many businesses will be open throughout all three neighborhoods. It’s a blast to just stroll the street and people watch.

OpenStreetsPGH is part of a movement called Ciclovia, which includes hundreds of cities worldwide. Its mission? It’s also a group of businesses, neighbors, non-profits, and others who want to help Pittsburgh be the healthiest, most active, and happiest city it can be.

The debut of Open StreetsPGH was such a success that they added more dates and neighborhoods last season. This year it will expand to the Northside for the event. Stay tuned for more details.
