Get active with the local running community, enjoy the great outdoors and help support one of Pittsburgh’s most popular riverfront trails this Saturday.

P3R and Steel City Road Runners are joining forces to host an inaugural benefit run showcasing Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Heritage Trail.

Run or walk your way along one of the region’s most significant riverfront amenities—which encompasses more than 25 miles of urban trails along both banks of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers—while also helping to support critical stewardship projects.

With a 15K, 10K, 5K and a two-mile walk, there’s an option for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. Starting and finishing at P3R’s headquarters located at 810 River Avenue, the event is family- and dog-friendly and will kick off at 6:45 a.m. with welcoming remarks.

Runners and spectators alike can stop by the P3R booth to spin a wheel for a chance to win prizes, enjoy tunes from Fireside DJs and receive giveaways from UPMC Health Plan.

The suggested donation is $10 per person or $25 for a family of four. Proceeds will help support ongoing trail maintenance and expansion led by Friends of the Riverfront.
