Fans of W. Kamau Bell will rejoice to learn that the multi-talented comedian has been announced as a headliner for the fourth annual Pittsburgh Comedy Festival. Showcasing 40-plus local and national acts, the five-day laugh fest is back with its largest and most diverse lineup.

Locally produced, the event boasts rising stars on Pittsburgh’s stand-up and improv scene, a midnight stand-up show, community workshops, a family-friendly cabaret, and comics from NYC, Chicago and LA.

Not to miss is Emmy-nominated stand-up comic W. Kamau Bell, acclaimed for his “incisive, scathingly funny commentary on modern society.” Bell opens minds as he tackles race, politics and social issues as host of docu-series, one-man shows and podcasts for CNN, FX and Showtime.

Any fan of Hamilton or rap music should not miss second headliner, North Coast, who will perform their latest award-winning show, ANYBODY—a fully improvised “historical hip-hopera” based on audience suggestions and inspired by the Broadway hit. Dubbed NYC’s premier hip-hop improv team, the troupe will blow minds with their inimitable blend of high-octane freestyle rapping and long-form improv comedy.
