Marking the fourth showcase of its 2014 season, RAW: Pittsburgh is presenting the arts event, Allure, at new nightlife spot Xtaza (formerly Club Zoo/Metropol), located in the Strip District. If you have yet to catch one of its local arts happenings, RAW’s Allure showcase is a great opportunity to experience the indie organization’s latest production.

For its latest installment, RAW: Pittsburgh will feature work by more than 40 local artists working in a wide variety of media, including visual art, film, fashion, music, hair and makeup artistry, photography and performance.

Among Allure’s lineup will be 30-plus visual artists, including Jessica Bala, Jarrod Russell, Desiree Palermo, Marsha Lee Moore, Trenita Finney, Cliff Fields, Brad Bianchi, Christian Miller, Wintis, Mancat, Bekah Coffey, Natiq Jalil, Chelsie Burns, JulZCah, Catalina Rosa Rivera, David Frentzel, Nicholas Bigatel, Daviea Davis, Erick Morell, MAXXX, Eleni Manganas and Heather Hadden. Photographers exhibiting work at Allure include Max Boffo, Juan Carlos Silva, Anne Michele Lyons, Panda Inc., Joshua Tarquinio and Matthew DeSantis. Also featured will be accessories artists Luke Daller Jewelry Design and JewelryNat.

Club-goers will be treated to live performances by Ebony Seskey and Jemeena & Karianne Middle Eastern Dance Arts, fashion shows featuring original designs created by VRNAQLR and Elaine Healy, and a screening by filmmaker Nick LaMantia. Providing the night’s live music will be Road Runner, Devin Moses, Decaffeinated Grapefruit and Misaligned Mind. Hosted by Sneaky Mike, Allure will also feature DJ Pandemic Pete.

In 2013, Pittsburgh joined a growing list of 60-plus international cities to produce local artist showcases as part of the independent arts organization, RAW.  Since launching locally, RAW: Pittsburgh has showcased some 300 local artists. The first RAW showcase of 2014 drew 900 attendees, featured 40 local artists and sold more than $15,000 in artwork.
