Cinema in the Park

WHAT: Cinema in the Park
WHERE: Nine city parks
WHEN: June 3 – August 31; dusk

Why You Should Go:

Relaxing in a comfy chair with a reclining seat and cup holder is a great way to see a movie — but nothing beats watching your favorite flicks under the stars.

All summer, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is bringing the magic of the silver screen to our beloved urban green spaces. Free and family-friendly, Cinema in the Park screenings start at dusk at nine convenient locations.

Those bemoaning the closing of Robinson’s Twin Hi-Way Drive-In — one of the region’s last remaining drive-in theaters — will love watching movies in the open air. The lineup also includes the Spark! Series, with films showcasing stories from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
