The Skivvies

City Theatre Company
December 15 & 16
8 p.m.

You’ve likely heard about — or better yet seen — the Underwear Bike Ride or Cupid’s Undie Run making their way through the streets of Pittsburgh, but have you ever experienced live theater performed by actors and musicians wearing nothing but underwear?

Forget the layers of Long Johns and fleece normally worn in winter — Broadway’s favorite “stripped-down duo” is rolling into the Burgh to premiere its newest show at City Theatre. Featuring the singing and acting team of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, The Skivvies will debut their holiday-inspired show, “Sleigh My Name,” during two special nights.

Clothed in nothing but their undies, Molina and Cearley will perform eccentric original songs and raucous comedy-pop mash-ups using an array of zany instruments like the electric cello, ukulele and glockenspiel.

The acclaimed Broadway performers have also hand-picked Pittsburgh’s top theater stars to join them on stage, including Paige Davis, Daina Michelle Griffith, Stephen Santa and more.

Opening both shows will be the award-winning musical comedy improvisers, babyGRAND, featuring Pittsburgh natives Missy Moreno and Connor McCanlus,
