This Friday night, fans of all things Ziggy Stardust can continue to celebrate and pay tribute to the legacy of The Thin White Duke during a special evening at Heinz Hall. For this first-of-its-kind event, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is teaming up with Windborne Music Productions to showcase David Bowie’s significant innovations in music, visual presentation, performance, and pop culture.

Guest conductor Brent Havens, vocalist Brody Dolyniuk, and an impressive full rock band will join forces on stage with the Pittsburgh Symphony to transport audiences on a symphony musical odyssey that’s not to be missed.

Exploring Bowie’s impressive range in terms of songwriting, arrangements and production, the concert will feature the English star’s many influential hits, such as “Space Oddity,” “Changes,” “Under Pressure,” “Heroes,” “Rebel Rebel,” “Fame,” “China Girl” and many more.

The concert will spotlight the talents of Berklee School of Music veteran Brent Haven, who is founder of Windborne Music. An internationally acclaimed arranger and conductor, Haven has written extensively for world-renowned orchestras, feature films, television shows, sporting events, and cartoons. Served as conductor and arranger for 12 symphonic rock programs, Haven’s work spans the music of everyone from Led Zeppelin and Queen, to Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd.

Also featured in the David Bowie night will be prolific vocalist, self-taught musician and multi-instrumentalist, Brody Dolyniuk. A producer of large-scale rock production shows that feature multimedia, lasers, comedy and special effects, Dolyniuk has also appeared on television and radio, and in national singing competitions. In 1997, he founded Yellow Brick Road, which has helped to reshape the casino entertainment scene as Las Vegas’ most successful classic rock band. A decade later, Dolyniuk even lent his vocal talents to the mega-hit video game Guitar Hero.
