For years the hillside overlooking Grandview Park on the border of Mt. Washington and Allentown sat idle despite two attempts to develop the land. Now it features a new development called Bailey Park Lane, started in 2014 and currently featuring six striking and modern single-family homes with nine more to come.

One of those homes, owned by the architect and developer of the project, Justin Cipriani, is for sale for $599k. The 2200-square-foot residence at 21 Bailey Park features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with design elements such as interior stone, bamboo floors and quartz countertops.

Like the other units, this was “custom made for the views and brought to life everything around it,” says Cipriani. Not only do the terrace glass doors off the living area swing open to dramatic views of the Pittsburgh skyline, but large windows elsewhere offer a contrasting and charming view of brick homes on the Mt. Washington hillside.
