Extra, extra! Here’s your chance to be an . . . extra!

If you’ve always dreamed of being on the silver screen, this weekend, you may have your chance. Filmmakers currently shooting a movie in The Hill District are looking for folks to volunteer as background actors on the set of Rehabilitation of the Hill starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 1st.

“The scene is Laverne Livingston, one of the wealthiest, matriarch self-made women in America, holding a press conference about the new development the Livingston Group is planning for The Hill District,” filmmaker Carl Kurlander of Steeltown Entertainment Project writes in an email.

Producers are asking that actors dress in business professional attire. Participants should expect to be on set until about 11 a.m. No prior professional experience is required.

For more information, email filmlab@steeltown.org and include your gender, height, age range and current photograph of yourself. Photographs can range from professional headshots to selfies. Please include your phone number and Saturday morning availability, as well.
