Future Job Fair
And now a public service announcement for high school and college-thinking students. State Rep. Dan Miller is spreading the message that alternatives and careers are out there for students who feel college might not be the right choice for them. Miller and school districts in the South Hills will hold a Future Fair on Oct. 2 for the general public. The evening features workshops and speakers from the region who will discuss ways to develop a flexible education program that will save you money and prepare you for a career.
Among the options are gap year alternatives, opportunities for entrepreneurship and sessions on high paying careers in advanced manufacturing. The fair will be held at Seton-LaSalle High School Oct. 2 from 3 to 7 p.m.
