Where’s your NEXT job in Pittsburgh? Here’s the latest on companies who are hiring.

Silicon Valley startup BloomBoard is opening an office in Pittsburgh and is planning to hire 20-30 people locally.

Launched in 2010, BloomBoard creates software tools for school districts and teachers that support differentiated learning and instruction in the classroom. Differentiated learning encourages teachers to take the different needs of each student into account, a process that can be difficult for teachers and districts to track.

To address this, BloomBoard offers a platform that optimizes learning and observes and tracks performance in keeping with federal mandates. The new office will be located on Walnut Street in Shadyside. The company is hiring 20-30 over the next year including front and back-end managers and account managers.

Branding Brand, busting at the seams , is currently hiring more than 15 people.  The marketing firm handles some of the top retail chains in the world including American Eagle Outfitters, Polo Ralph Lauren, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Victoria Secret.

Aerotech is hiring for more than a dozen positions in sales and marketing, engineering, IT and product services. The company has its world corporate headquarters in Harmarville and is a motion control, positioning and automation systems manufacturer.

PNC, the largest banking group in Pittsburgh, is always looking for good candidates. Presently the financial institution is hiring commercial real estate underwriters, tax credit investment managers and an equity management associate.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has been on a hiring spree lately with several dozen positions open on its website. Applicants are being sought for the following jobs: systems engineers, e-commerce operations, site merchandiser, java script developer, loss prevention analyst and an assortment of IT positions.

American Eagle’s corporate office on the South Side has been on a hiring spree. The national clothing retailer continues to seek qualified applicants in the areas of: art director; analyst for testing and marketing strategies research; assistant buyer, assistant corporate secretary, manager of development operations, manager of quality control, merchandise planner, senior accountant and senior analyst. AE is also looking for a merchandising intern.
