With the election behind us, Pittsburgh remains focused on healing after the horrific shooting in Squirrel Hill.

We wanted to help spread the word: Mayor Bill Peduto has invited all Pittsburgh-area residents to gather at noon this Friday, Nov. 9, at Point State Park. The event will honor the victims of the Tree of Life shooting and serve as a call for peace and unity among all Pittsburghers.

“The event will begin with a one-minute moment of silence for peace and the 11 victims,” says an announcement about the event. “Those unable to make the event — from those in Pittsburgh to others around the world — are invited to host their own moments of silence.”
