Good news for Pittsburgh’s newest hometown hero: After his success in Pyeongchang, the U.S. Olympic Committee has named Pittsburgher John-Henry Krueger a finalist for the Male Olympic Athlete of the Games award at this year’s Team USA Awards Best of the Games.

Although the Peters Township native had competed at the Short Track World Championships, Krueger was an Olympic rookie when he arrived at this year’s Winter Games.
