Fresh on the heels of their debut on Adult Swim, the arts collective Wham City is making a stop in the Burgh. Based in Baltimore, Wham City rolls into town as part of a month-long multi-media comedy tour of the US and Canada.

The group’s latest show consists of a 75-minute multi-media performance featuring four contemporary comedians presenting original videos, skits, stand-up and monologues. Performing as part of the current Wham City tour are alt-comedians Alan Resnick, Ben O’Brien, Robby Rackleff and Mickey Freeland. Recently, the troupe unveiled a mock infomercial directed by O’Brien and Resnick, originally created for its Live Forever As You Are Now tour, which debuted on Adult Swim.

Opening the 2014 Wham City Comedy Tour is local emerging stand-up comedian Molly Sharrow. Rounding out the bill at Melwood will be artist Rem Lezar of Everything Is Terrible!, the planet’s only psychedelic found footage comedy website which also tours with live shows including puppets and multi-media work.
