Site Selection, one of the corporate real estate industry’s premiere publications, selected the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance as one of the country’s top 10 economic development organizations for 2013.

The distinction is based on based on the organization’s 2013 performance toward creating new jobs, new jobs per 10,000 residents, securing new investment and new investment per 10,000 residents.

“Being designated as a top 10 economic development group validates how we do our work and how well we do our work,” says PRA President Dewitt Peart. “Pittsburgh has a very good business case on a global scale. We have a good strategy in Pittsburgh and we have a good business case, and this magazine’s readership is made of the people who make decisions about how and where their businesses are going to grow.”

It marks the sixth time out of the last seven years that the magazine has awarded PRA a top-10 distinction, the lone exception being 2009, when the group earned an honorable mention.
