ThisisColossal, a visual arts blog that’s been recognized as among the top 50 on the web, is excited about a new woodcut print that will soon be made available by Pittsburgh’s own Tugboat Printshop.

The artists behind the new print, Paul Roden and Valerie Lueth, have been working on the piece for two years, naming the new creation “Overlook.” The print comes after several more of its kind, including “Woodcut Valley,” “Community” and “Desert Island.”

Roden and Lueth have been designing prints together since 2006, and operate out of Lawrenceville. After they’ve designed the print and cut it into the wood block, it’s pressed with ink onto archival paper and made available to the public.

The final color print will be an impressive 28″ by 46″  and is available to pre-order on the Tugboat website. You can purchase a copy of the print for $850.
