Bar Marco

Pittsburgh’s food scene is profiled in USA Today‘s Travel section. Showcasing Pittsburgh as one of “six small cities with big food scenes,” the article highlights veteran favorites such as Pierogies Plus, in business for more than 30 years, along with newer dining and drinking establishments, including Butcher and the Rye, Cure, Bar Marco, Notion and Sienna Sulla Piazza.

The article highlights Pittsburgh’s rich Eastern European roots and Old World tastes, as well as a new wave of restaurants focused on what is fresh and local here in western Pennsylvania, including many chefs who maintain close ties with area farmers to keep locally-cured meats and in-season produce on the menu.
