Amy Cooper

Mt. Lebanon resident Amy Cooper relocated to Pittsburgh in 2010 from Columbus to open Stage AE. Director of marketing for PromoWest North Shore/Stage AE, Amy began her concert career with Live Nation. Her most memorable concert experience? “My first concert and the reason for getting into this business was the 1986 Bon Jovi tour, Slippery When Wet. I had no idea what was going on, only that I had to be a part of that magic somehow. After the show, I wrote down everything I could remember that JBJ said. It’s was so cheesy but I was hooked.”

Monday, November 30

I’m a morning person; I like to get things done and I always feel better if I get some sort of exercise. I’ll start my day at 6 a.m. and get in a workout at Fitness 19 on Greentree Road. Then I’ll ride the T to work. I’m a huge fan of public transportation, and considering there is a T stop a short walk from my house, it’s very convenient. We are a one-car family because of this, and it’s worked out great. Monday nights are definitely a couch and sweatpants kind of night snuggled up with my cats.

Mac Miller concert at Stage AE

Tuesday, December 1

Another 6 a.m. workout then a marketing meeting at 11 a.m. After work, I’ll meet my hubby at The Saloon for dinner and then we will stop into Rollier’s Hardware to admire their beautiful Christmas Village. It’s my favorite display of the year.

Wednesday, December 2

Workout # 3 and lunch with my sales rep “Big” Joe Seaman from iHeartMedia. I have a staff meeting at 2 p.m. and then will get things organized for tonight’s City and Colour show at Stage AE—a great band, don’t miss them!

Amy on a weekend getaway to Atlantic City.

Thursday, December 3

Skipping the gym and walking instead to La Gourmandine Bakery where I can’t resist their amazing almond croissant. Off to work to put together marketing plans for upcoming announcements. Heading to lunch at Bluebird Kitchen in Market Square downtown and to check out the holiday set-up. I love the tree and ice skating rink. Happy Hour at 4 p.m. at The Modern Cafe with my co-workers and our beer reps.

Friday, December 4

6 a.m. workout, then I’ll head to work once again on the T. Meeting with an intern to give them a more in-depth look at my responsibilities. I always enjoy mentoring and working with folks as passionate about our business as I am. Lunch at my desk today.

Saturday, December 5

Having our normal homemade organic breakfast at home. We try to shop local and know the source of our food. Hubby and I will head to the East End Food Co-op and Eden’s Market for groceries. I will then spend most of the afternoon in the kitchen preparing dinner and looking up new recipes on America’s Test Kitchen, it’s our favorite show on WQED.

Sunday December 6

Sundays are the laziest day of the week where I like to stay home and enjoy my neighborhood. At 1 p.m., I am headed to lunch at Bado’s on Beverly Road, then to The Korner Pub for some more IPAs. Anyone who knows us knows that IPA is our favorite beer and we particularly enjoy Chinookie IPA from Full Pint Brewing Company. It’s why I have to workout!
