Monday, February 8

I’ll start my week with a McDonald’s run to get my daily oatmeal after I drop my daughter off at North Allegheny High School. I’ll get to our corporate office in Wexford by about 7:30 a.m. to go through emails. Then it’s off to our Pleasant Hills office so I can present their agents with awards to celebrate their success in 2015! After, I’m having lunch with a potential new agent and we haven’t decided where yet. We may try Atria’s or Gali’s Gyros & Grill in Pleasant Hills.

Monday night is my night to prepare dinner. My wife is working at Macy’s, so I’ll swing by Giant Eagle to shop and pick up what I need to make grilled chicken with pasta and veggies. After dinner, I get my run in on the treadmill and do some yoga at home. For most of the year, North Park is my usual evening running spot.

Tuesday, February 9

Today I’m going straight to Ohio. First I’ll meet with TitleWorks Agency in Youngstown, our settlement affiliate, and then off to teach a new agent training class at our Boardman training center.

I have to be back to take my daughter and her friends to dance practice at Intensity Dance Academy in Mars. I’m on my own tonight, so I’ll swing by my favorite neighborhood go-to spot for dinner, Pomodoro Pizza and Pasta in Wexford. I’ll also make sure I catch the basketball highlights for Virginia Tech (my alma mater) versus Virginia.

I try to make it to every one of our 37 offices at least three times a year, and I usually end up with even more visits than that. Today I’m on the road to our Somerset office. It’s also home to Wendy Kelly, one of our Northwood Mom agents who participated in an event we recently hosted with Cooper Munroe from TheMotherhood.com to exchange insights with local moms. We met so many impressive local mom bloggers who participated. We are a very mom-friendly company. We’ve found that moms make some of the very best real estate agents.

Late today, I’ll meet with our marketing team and our agency, AppleBox Studios, to talk about new creative for our ads. Since they are located in The Strip, I’ll also have a chance to check in on one of our most high-profile and exciting new projects, 2500 Smallman. These luxury urban living spaces are so unique that NEXTpittsburgh featured them last year. Then it’s an evening run outside if the weather will cooperate, a light dinner and early to sleep.

More office visit road trips! Today, I’ll be in our Murrysville office by 9 a.m. for a sales meeting, then back to our corporate office in Wexford for some informal updates with our department managers. I’ll head west again for a 5 p.m. sales meeting at Alberini’s in Boardman.

On the way back, I’ll get to relax a little and meet friends at one of my favorite places: Quaker Steak & Lube in Cranberry.

Friday, February 12

I have a 10 a.m. sales meeting at West Penn Financial today. It’s one of our affiliates that, along with People First of Ohio, provides mortgage services to our Northwood buyers. Then I’ll have a noon lunch at Off The Hook in seafood restaurant and oyster bar in Warrendale with a banker friend.

Tonight, I am celebrating Valentine’s Day with my wife at Springfield Grille in Mars. It’s one of our favorite places and we’re both looking forward to spending time together to unwind and enjoy date night.

Saturday, February 13

Finally, a day to sleep in and catch up at home. We are all about teamwork at my house and I’ll do my part by pitching in to clean and do laundry. Hopefully I’ll get to catch up on some reading. I’m a big fan of historical biographies, especially past presidents. Right now, I’m reading a biography of Abraham Lincoln. What an amazing man! I’ll also get in some yoga and serve again as the taxi driver for my dancing daughter and her friends this evening.

Since we celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday, today will be a day of rest. Church is at 11 a.m. and lunch consists of turkey sandwiches at home.

After lunch, it’s off to my annual trip with my dad to theAfter that, I’ll be talking with two of my kids who are back at school: one at University of Miami and one at Grove City College. Depending on outside conditions, I’ll either go for a run or hit the treadmill.

For the afternoon, I’m taking my annual trip with my dad to the Pittsburgh International Auto Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and dinner at Bravo in Cranberry. Sometime today, I’ll be talking with my kids, who are back at school. I’m planning a visit in a few weeks to see my daughter at the University of Miami. My son at Grove City College will want to know when I’m going to take him to dinner at Primanti’s.

By tonight, the NBA 2016 All-Star game will be TV entertainment for the evening.
