This is sudden, but here’s a little thrill: Wiz Khalifa, The Killers, SZA, Melanie Martinez, Ethel Cain, Yung Gravy and nearly 30 other artists will take on Pittsburgh on Sept. 7 and 8 at Hazelwood Green’s inaugural Sudden Little Thrills Music Fest.
Most of the artists will make appearances at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza in June and August respectively before making their way to Pittsburgh. Sudden Little Thrills is produced by Lollapalooza’s C3 Presents, a subsidiary of Ticketmaster owner Live Nation.
Hints at the festival lineup first appeared last week when Sudden Little Thrills made posts accompanied by The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me.” The band is most known for its 2004 song “Mr. Brightside.”
Wiz Khalifa, a featured performer on Sunday, Sept. 8, will be celebrating his birthday at the hometown show.
Other performers include St. Vincent, Fletcher, Pittsburgh-native Girl Talk, Omar Apollo, Hippo Campus and The Driver Era.
Two-day general admission tickets start at $249, with higher tiers offering a lounge area, and food and beverages. Presale tickets for Sudden Little Thrills will be available to those with a presale passcode between 10 and 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18. To sign up for a passcode, visit the festival’s website.
