Head to the Strip to show your pride during this happy hour social celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month. Hosted by AAPI Women & Non-Binary in PGH, the gathering welcomes partners, friends, colleagues and family — and no RSVP is required.

Too Hot for July at Allegheny Commons East Park

AIDS Free Pittsburgh presents this signature block party with a host of community partners. If you love them as Unique Adams on the hit show “Glee,” don’t miss trailblazing Tony-winning actor and singer Alex Newell, who is this year’s headliner. The street fair presents a blockbuster lineup of local and national DJs, artists and performers, along with ballroom battles, food trucks and lawn games. Head to the health fair and marketplace to get free and confidential HIV/STI testing and MPox vaccines, pick up wellness resources and talk with service providers. Free.

Pittsburgh Pride: Still We Rise Opening Celebration at Allegheny Commons Park West
Noon-1 a.m.
Make the scene at the official kickoff to the city’s three-day Pittsburgh Pride celebration, which is organized by a consortium of local LGBTQ+ organizations, including TransYOUniting, QBurgh, Proud Haven and Trans Pride PGH. Headlining acts include the legendary First Ladies of Disco and the world’s top Beyoncé impersonator, Riley Knoxx, who are joined by 30 local artists. The fun includes vendors, activities, crafts, games and food. Continue the party into the wee hours with The Alphabet Mafia’s Kiki Ball celebrating Black and Latinx LBGTIA+ communities. Free.

Pride on the Shore Festival at Stage AE
Where are all of my Chappell Roan fans? Running from 7:30 p.m. on Friday until 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Pride on the Shore is the place for lovers of LGBTQ+ pop music. Joining rising star Roan will be an all-star lineup, including Natasha Bedingfield, Keke Palmer, Jess Glynne and Slayyyter. Bigger than ever with three stages, the weekend-long celebration fills the North Shore with music, fun and fashion. Produced by PromoWest North Shore and Nick Staples Presents, Pittsburgh’s largest LGBTQ+ music extravaganza highlights emerging and established LGBTQ+ artists. Tickets.

Pittsburgh Pride: Still We Rise March, Parade and Celebration Downtown and Allegheny Commons Park West
10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Join one of Pittsburgh’s most joyous parades for the marquee Pride Weekend event. Line up begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of 11th and 16th streets in the Strip District. Speakers start at 11:30 a.m., and the parade steps off at noon. This year’s grand marshal is longtime Pittsburgh activist Richard Parsakian, owner of Shadyside’s Eons Fashion Antique. March as a united community as the giant rainbow flag travels down Liberty Avenue, crosses the Andy Warhol Bridge and ends at Allegheny Commons Park. Grammy-nominated powerhouse vocalist Tamar Braxton heats things up in the North Side park for the festival featuring performances by 40 LGBTQIA+ artists. Free.

Art in Bloom: Dreams of Hope 20th Anniversary Extravaganza

For two decades, Dreams of Hope has empowered LGBTQIA+ youth through the arts. It’s time to celebrate the organization’s 20th birthday with an intergenerational extravaganza. Kick off Pride Month with Pittsburgh’s own Cherry Bomb Day Party produced by the Black queer femme-led collective, Mostbeautifullest. Heating up the graffiti alley adjacent to Trace Brewing along Clement Way, the night showcases Black queer and trans DJs, performers and hosts hailing from the Burgh and Brooklyn. Free.

What’s Pride Month without Pittsburgh’s premier queer dance party? The first installment of the collective’s June Pride series takes the deep grooves to a special outdoor location along Melwood, where DJs from NYC, Pittsburgh and California will keep you on the dance floor. $15 at the door (cash only).

Loud & Proud Music Festival at Ormsby Avenue Cafe

An exciting new kid on the block for Pride Month is bringing the festival vibes to Mount Oliver. Rock bands Lylyth and Sommelier team up to produce this live showcase of emerging and established LGBTQ+ talent from throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. The first-ever fest features an extensive lineup of live music, along with artwork and craft vendors. The nonprofit Catatouille Food Truck will be on-site selling plant-based, international street food. Proceeds benefit the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation. Tickets.

Honcho Pride Boat Party on the Gateway Clipper

Pittsburgh Pride Weekend goes out with an ebullient Block Party in Bloomfield. Along Main Street between Penn and Liberty, 30 local artists will appear alongside hip-hop artist Manny Dibiachi, rock band Heading North (Rock Band) and viral TikTok sensation RealXMan. Free.

There are many ways to rock the Rocks during Pride Month at this LGBTQ-owned event space. Highlights include an opening celebration on June 6 for a new exhibition telling the stories of gay icons and allies. Celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community along the Allegheny River. There’s something for Pride-goers of all ages, with a vendor fair, art activities, live music, games and more. Enjoy drag queen story hours, learn to paddle a kayak, try line dancing and attend a clothing swap. The free festivities also feature hair and nail art, DJs, Glitterbox Theater shows and LGBTQIA+ resources. Register.

Pirates Pride Night at PNC Park

Honor the LGBTQIA+ community and Mother Earth! If you’re looking for new ways to celebrate your queer identity and spend time in the woods, this event has you covered. Bili O’Hara will lead a leisurely hike covering 1 to 3 miles. Participants will receive laminated maps and learn navigation skills along the way. The neighborhood-wide Pride party features so much to do: a Bay 41 Block Party, Pittsburgh Fitness Project Bootcamp, Gayest Dog Contest at Boheme, movement activities at Attack Theatre and a picnic at Cavacini Garden Center. New this year is the Friday night kickoff at Iron City Boulders, followed by an after-hours drag pageant. Free.

If you’re looking to hop on two wheels and roll with a group of welcoming cyclists, BikePGH has just the ticket. Merging a passion for cycling, conversation and advocacy, the group ride aims to increase representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities. The 9.8-mile loop heads to Highland Park and back through the East End at a pace of 8-10 mph. Free.

Be part of Wilkinsburg’s first-of-its-kind Pride event. The Black and Trans-led nonprofit SisTers PGH joins a coalition of community organizations to bring the seventh annual People’s Pride PGH Parade and Music Festival to Turner Elementary School (1833 Laketon Road). Kicking things off as parade grand marshal is drag queen Akasha Van-Cartier. Hosted by TS Madison, the event features performances by Flint, Michigan-based rapper, singer and songwriter THOT Squad.
