Have a budding thespian, director or playwright in your family? Head to the EQT Children’s Theater Festival to enjoy one of the region’s largest events for kids and families.

See why cutting-edge theater is not just for adults during four fun-filled days packed with internationally renowned programming, including six feature productions, outdoor shows, installation art, and 35 family-friendly activities.

For its 31st edition, the expanded festival is welcoming award-winning companies from Australia, Mexico, the US, Denmark and Ireland.

From a vaudevillian musical based on Mo Willems’s beloved children’s books and teen-centric acts like Simple Gifts, to child-oriented shows such as The Way Back Home—there’s something to inspire and delight theater lovers of every age.

Don’t miss the US premiere of Pulse, where infants and toddlers will be immersed in kinetic textures, lively games and creative spaces of discovery.

Presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the festival also fosters cultural exchange and connects local audiences to professional performing artists from around the world.

The festival grounds will feature food vendors, local galleries, pop-up green spaces, hands-on activities, and information booths.
