Turning Buhl Community Park, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and Nova Place into “the greatest show-and-tell on Earth,” Maker Faire Pittsburgh features two days of eye-popping exhibits, demos, performances  and more.

Equal parts high school science club, homespun county fair and how-to maker workshop, the DIY gathering brings together some of the region’s most inventive minds—ranging from award-winning roboticists and youth inventors, to local artists and high-tech startups.

Learn how to operate an amateur radio station, try to ride a reverse steering bicycle, explore the fascinating realm of biohacking, and much more!

Next, launch your own dry ice rocket, help create a giant colorful spirograph and construct a kinetic sculpture using recycled and donated materials.

New this year is Remake Learning Education Friday. On October 14, some 1,500 students and educators from 30 school districts around the region will get a behind-the-scenes, sneak preview of the Faire grounds.
