Various times

Eat your way through Oakland during six delicious days while helping to boost the local restaurant economy. Showcasing 17 local eateries—generously teaming up to provide $6 lunches over six days— Oakland Restaurant Week runs from January 30th through February 4th.

It’s Pennsylvania’s third largest economic corridor where 100,000 people work, study, live and play—and is home to top universities and hospitals (aka eds & meds)—not to mention world-class cultural institutions. Now get to know the culinary heart of Pittsburgh’s central Oakland neighborhood.

There’s a dish, flavor and menu item for all lunch-goers—from serious foodies and to-go-grabbers, to students and tourists—with eateries spanning American, Indian, Thai, and Japanese cuisine, pub fare, dessert specialties, signature pizzas, and more.

Pop into dining destinations like Hello Bistro, Red Oak Cafe, Fuel & Fuddle, and Sushi Fuku to experience the diverse range of lunch options offered along Oakland’s bustling Forbes Avenue corridor and surrounding streets.

Vegetarians should not miss the event’s special Meatless Monday option co-sponsored by the Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurants Program.

Throughout the week, attendees can also pick up prizes from participating Oakland retailers such as Maggie & Stella’s Cards & Gifts, the University Store on Fifth, Selection Boutique, and more. Launched in 2009, the event is presented by the Oakland Business Improvement District.

And for dessert? Attendees can enter to win free lunch for an entire month. View a complete schedule.
