Martorano’s Prime at Rivers Casino, 777 Casino Dr., North Shore
Celebrity cook Steve Martorano’s steakhouse will open for its first dinner service Jan. 8 and will operate Wednesday through Sunday starting at 5 p.m. Reservations are available via Open Table or by calling 412-566-4799. Martorano’s Prime features elevated Italian-American cuisine, prime cuts of beef and other high-end steakhouse staples.

Cadence Clubhouse, 9999 Kummer Rd., Allison Park
The café inside North Park’s Pro Bike + Run features a full-service bar and 20 taps pouring local beers and ciders. Verona-based Mechanic Coffee supplies the caffeine, along with the café’s own Cadence Blend. There are also smoothies and fresh-squeezed juices and a mini-market filled with to-go food and beverages as well as gourmet ingredients for your pantry. The company’s Strip District location is slated to open this summer or fall, along with a Monroeville restaurant.

Old Thunder Brewing, 340 Freeport Rd., Blawnox
You can’t sip a beer inside the post office-turned-brewery just yet, but you can order cans online and grab ‘em to go during Old Thunder’s weekly pick-up hours.

The Woods House Historic Pub, 4604 Monongahela Street, Hazelwood

Hilltop Coffee is only the second new business to open in the South Side Slopes in 20 years. Husband-and-wife team – and neighborhood residents – Dan Gladis and Jami Szalla are excited to perk up Arlington Avenue with cups of joe and to-go treats.

Trace Brewing, 4312 Main Street, Bloomfield
You can get a sneak peek inside the impressive Trace Brewing when you pick up to-go cans of beer. When the spot opens for drink-in service, customers can sip Redhawk Coffee products and small-batch brews.
